Mikumi National Park

The park at an altitude of 550 m covers an area of 3,280 sq. km and is rich in a variety of wildlife buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, elephant, impala, hippo, warthog, lion, sable, antelope, hunting dog eland are to be seen all seasons. Over 300 species of birds have been observed in the park of which is Eurasian migrants that are present from October to April. The park can easily be reached from Dar es Salaam 300 km away. Weekend excursions departing from Dar es Salaam are available. Mikumi Wildlife Lodge and also Mikumi Tented Camp have comfortable accommodation facilities.
